Tooth Enamel

Song of Solomon 4:2 ESV

Your teeth are like a flock of shorn ewes that have come up from the washing, all of which bear twins, and not one among them has lost its young.

Heal Cavities Early

King Solomon’s love story in this book certainly stands out. The mention of the beautiful teeth in such a poetic way tells us that back then and now, good healthy beautiful teeth were valued.

Non-toxic non-prescription ways of restoring or maintaining healthy enamel are both topical and internal. Consuming good quality nutritious food with dense vitamins and minerals is the core method. Juicing leafy greens will help supplement, and soaking and sprouting grains, seeds, legumes will also significantly increase nutrition density of your meals. Adding Fulvic Acid to a drink of water, Food Grade Bentonite Clay or Diatomaceous earth into a smoothie, can become natural non-processed supplements. Topical application is the next best method. Like our skin absorbing nutrients from lotions and oils, the teeth enamel will also absorb.

Crucial Minerals: Silica, Calicum, Phosphorus, and Magnesium all have the ability to strengthen the enamel.

To topically apply, you can obtain Silica from food grade diatomaceous earth, dip your toothbrush it in when brushing your teeth, or mix into your natural toothpaste.

Brush gently but for longer minutes, thoroughly, for added benefit. Do a poultice over the teeth with minerals to nourish, and adsorbents to detox.

Calcium & Phosphorus can be found bountifully in bentonite clay. And it was also found to be four times better than Flouride in strengthening the enamel.

Magnesium cannot be left out here, since it helps the Calcium absorb in the body and has been proven to harden and whiten the enamel. Leafy greens, legumes and pseudograins have this wonderful nutrient. But our current produce may lack the nutrition density that we need due poor soil quality. As mentioned above, you can increase the nutritional value by adding juiced greens to your diet, and soaking and sprouting legumes and pseudograins easily from home.

An amazing fact: Magnesium is the center piece of the molecule cholorophyll (leafy greens), this molecule is identical do our heme molecule of our red blood cells while the heme molecule has Iron at the center of it. Interesting document on chlorophyll vs heme.

One last thing that is so important yet often neglected, is chewing. God designed our stomatognathic system to function a certain way for our body to have harmony and health. If we start to do less of what it normally does, and compensate in different ways - swallowing without chewing properly, drinking food instead of eating solids - not only can it upset our digestive system, but it can also rob our teeth of the opportunity to become self-cleansed. Chewing on high fiber foods (whole grains, raw veges, fruits) thoroughly, think 100 times, also has cleansing benefits. It’s not rocket science. The fiber is like a scruffy natural sponge and scrubs the biofilm plaque off the teeth, along with higher production of saliva, which contain bicarbonate, that neutralizes acidic pH of the mouth. Non-chewing or deficient-chewing can cause developmental deficiencies. But this is a big subject, and will be saved for another blog… or multiple blogs :)
