Soak and Sprout
Genesis 1:11-13 KJV
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
Since then (Genesis 1), we sinned, and there was also the flood (Genesis 6). The earth we live in is beautiful. God’s nature is astounding to the eyes and refreshes the soul. Yet, this is the degenerate form compared to its former beauty. Along with that came defense mechanisms. Plants have poisons and thorns to protect them. So the grains seeds nuts legumes etc, will also have protection over themselves which allow it to survive, and eventually grow into a plant. These protective substances are called anti-nutrients. You pluck if off the plant, and it kind of goes into hibernation with the anti-nutrients. Still nutritious, and if your digestion can handle it, you may not see obvious symptoms. But the anti-nutrients such as Phytic acid and Lectin can irritate. When animals eat a seed in the wild, often the seed refuses to become digested (phytic and lectin disrupts digestion) and just comes out the other end fully preserved, and now it has an opportunity to grow. This is the theory of some who probably believe in survival. But survival is not all evolution. Since we trust in God for our survival, but not for our selfish needs, but in order to glorify God. So this should be the difference in how we see survival, an unselfish thing.
So how to reduce this issue in order for our digestion not to experience irritation? Soak and sprout. It reduces significantly the anti-nutrients, the nutrition significantly increases, and also the volume of food increases. God’s love is truly bountiful!
One other topic to be address is the issue of the hybridized modern wheat. I will do a separate blog on this subject.

Below is a simple way to sprout with your existing kitchen tools. For anyone who wishes to benefit from this but just do not have the bandwidth to sprout, do at least a good 12-hour soak! Wash well, and cook.
