when peeling and slicing, they make our eyes water like crazy. The potent onion smell is not necessarily everyone’s favorite. But did you know this cheap and easily available onion has so many health benefits and uses?

If your chest is congested, chop, simmer in very little water lightly, wrap into a thin cloth sheet, place over chest 1hr.

Chop it up and put it in a room to sleep, it will absorb the toxins in the air!

Bruise a slice to soften it a bit, it will become softer and moist with juices, and place under foot to absorb through the skin overnight. An on-set of cold/flu may just disappear!

Boil a whole onion in a few cups water, 15-minutes, high to boil, medium low to simmer. Drink a cup each evening after fasting (no dinner, this is ideal for 2-meal / day diet) 2-3hrs prior sleeping. This will repair ulcers and restore the damaged gut/stomach lining.

Sunburn or just any burn, bruise a slice to soften and get some juices going and place it over the burn. Can wrap with a cloth, self-adhesive bandage, or anything to keep in place. It is so soothing.

Quercetin is a pigment and is the power substance in this beautiful vegetable. Red and Yellow onions are therefore the onions of choice. White will lack such healing power.
