Juicy Boost

John 6:27 ESV

“Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.”

Juicing

What is it for? I have had people tell me it is not good since it removes the dietary fiber. I know people who swear by it as a life saver. So what is the logic behind all of this?

Juicing is the most natural form of supplementation one can do for themselves. With a slow juicer which preserves the nutrients (fast high speed will destroy), if taken 30 minutes prior to meals, it will boost the nutrition intake density for the day. This sounds amazing doesn’t it? Then why do some people consider juicing not so good for our bodies?

Some people have low dietary fiber intake in their diet - meat eaters for example. In a case like this, juicing will still boost nutrition, but it will not give you the extra fiber. In the case of a low fiber diet, it would be best to include whole produce in the diet, that can be chewed well and consumed, to increase the fiber intake. So juicing is not harmful, it's purpose should not be mistaken as a “meal replacer”.

Since our food, even organic produce, is seriously deprived of nutrition, supplementing with fresh juice is a great way to keep yourself in good health! Main takeaway, juice is as an addition to your meals (preferably high fiber meals) is the best method of implementation.
