  1. charcoal + water

  2. castor oil + almond oil

  3. eucalyptus, lavender, peppermint oils

  4. finally add comfrey root/leaf powder

This video by med missionary Danna Gesellchen explains the benefits of Comfrey and how it has the ability to promote regeneration. The poultice she is making is slightly different from the one described in the materials and methods of the Revive Ministries remedies.

QUICK Remedy 1: Cabbage Poultice

Acute cases (frozen shoulder for example or recent tears): When heat is building up due to inflammation, any poultice can feel uncomfortable after a bit of time. You can use ice or cold towels over the plastic cover to cool off any heat which builds up.

Methods:

  1. Lay the paper towel over the plastic wrap on a flat counter

  2. Mix comfrey leaf & root powder with water, and one of the three oils

  3. Place the mixed poultice over paper towel spread evenly with spoons

  4. Do hot/cold compress 3mins hot and 30 seconds cold over the wounded joint x7

  5. Place poultice over joint

  6. Place the wrap over the poultice

  7. Tape to stabilize if needed (adhesive bandage, tightly fitted clothing item, towel or cloth wrap)

  8. Change every 4hours. OK to wear overnight.

  9. Allow skin to breath in between.

  10. Option to do hot cold compress over the poultice intermittently

  • remove the stem of the cabbage leaf since it is too tough

  • use a jar or rolling pin to roll over cabbage leaf to soften it until it is pliable and wrappable (can also dip in hot water to lightly wilt it before pounding)

  • allow full contact with skin for cabbage juice to absorb

  • wrap with plastic and leave on for a few hours or overnight

  • reduces pain and inflammation of the joints!

QUICK Remedy 2: Potato Poultice

  •  peel the potato

  • grate or make thin slices that can mold to the shape of the body

  • allow full contact with skin for potato juice to absorb

  • wrap with plastic and leave on for a few hours or overnight

  • reduces pain and inflammation of the joints!

QUICK Remedy 3: Onion Poultice

  • pound or rollover it to soften and flatten
